[After confirming Hak's view, the car crawls to a stop. Yuma turns on the indicator and waits. Behind them, the horns blare even louder.]

[ hak will be a good child again and pull his seat back up into a sitting position. mostly so he can roll down his window and stick his head out to yell: ]

Shut up! We're trying to park here!

[This is not the behavior of a good child.]

It's not good to harass other drivers, Hak.

They're the ones harassing us first.

We'll be parking soon. Engaging them won't be necessary.

[The car that's trying to back out is, however, clearly being driven by a novice. This is already the third attempt, and the maneuver seems as uncertain as those before it.]

The gas will run out long before that much time has passed.

[Patience is a virtue. Yuma waits as promised, not bothered in the slightest by the blaring horns behind them. It's also fairly busy in front, making moving forward almost pointless even if he were to keep going.

The car that's trying to back out continues to struggle. It's almost impressive how many ineffectual maneuvers they've made.]

while yuma waits patiently, hak immediately gets bored and starts toying with whatever he can. he rolls down and up the windows. he changes the radio station. he turns the volume knob up and down. starts blasting the heat. ]

[Hak is doing so much in the span of three minutes. Yuma doesn't react until the last antic.]

Are you cold?

No, I'm bored. Has it been long enough yet?

Not yet. There are still 28 seconds left.

[28 seconds later, the car is still struggling. Yuma shifts to park, gets out of their designated car, and approaches the other driver on their side. After some back-and-forth, the driver comes out while Yuma takes over.

The latter pulls the car out of its parking spot in a single, fluid motion, then bids the faceless form goodbye before returning to Hak's side.]

The space is clear. I will commence parking now.

[And he does it just as cleanly as when he backed out!]

[ thinks about his own trip to bostco behind the wheel and how that ended up


lightly applauds yuma's efforts at parking so neatly. ]

Not bad. You still could have gone faster though.
